Lemon and Honey Butter Trout
A sweet, buttery, citrus-y baked trout recipe, perfect for warm weather.
Ingredients
- 1 full side of trout
- Salt and pepper
- Parsley (chopped - as much as you like, to add some green)
Marinade:
- 50g butter (melted)
- juice of 1/4 of a lemon
- 2 tbsp honey
1 clove of garlic (minced)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Lay the trout fillet out on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Season all over with salt and pepper.
- Mix all marinade ingredients together in a saucepan on low heat until combined. Allow to cool slightly then pour all over the trout.
- Sprinkle with parsley for a bit of green, then bake in the oven for about 20 - 25 mins, or until cooked through.
- Rest for 5 - 10 mins before serving.
