Air Fryer Yakitori Salmon Bowl

Ingredients

  • Ora King Salmon Fillet (we often use half a big fillet per person as it's quite rich! Adjust to your preference) marinated in Cannings Yakitori rub
  • Short grain rice
  • Avocado
  • Kimchi
  • Cucumber
  • Carrot
  • Cabbage
  • Kewpie Mayo
  • Shichimi Togarashi seasoning (optional - this is a spicy “seven flavour” Japanese seasoning with chilli and sesame)

Method

  1. When you pop into Cannings for the salmon, ask your butcher to cut your salmon into large-ish cubes and marinate in our Yakitori rub (or grab some of our Yakitori Salmon Skewers).
  2. Cook your rice. While your rice is cooking, prepare the other ingredients.
  3. Cube or julienne the veggies poke bowl style.
  4. Set your air fryer to 200C and cook the cubes of salmon for around 6 mins.
  5. When the rice is done, lay down a bed of rice in a bowl. Sprinkle with Japanese Shichimi Togarashi powder (if you have it) for a bit of extra seasoning, then add veggies and salmon on top. Add a side of kimchi, then drizzle generously with Kewpie mayo.
